Take a look at what i found recently searching for a VGA patch for Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2!
WHile this is clearly NOT a VGA patch for this supposedly VGA compatibel game, it IS an incredibly interesting and game expanding mod from the LEGENDARY SEGA SKY that has done SO MUCH for us Dreamcast fans its actually incredible. Typically the value added by Rolly of Sega Sky is translations and the like, (Blue Submarine and many others) check out this INCREDIBLE mod that adds so many tracks from Fast and Furious, Need for Speed games, and other racing influences, but ALSO Speud from the BlueSwirl website adds brand new stickers of Genki, Sonic, anime and real life babes. (pictures, track list, and download below!)
man there is alot here!
We have an intriguing offering catering to enthusiasts of SEGA and GENKI products. The focus this time is on the iconic SEGA Dreamcast console.
The spotlight of this modification falls on "Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2" (also recognized as "Shutokō Battle" in Japan), a captivating street racing game. This modification aims to enhance the gaming experience by introducing a meticulously curated alternate soundtrack. The OST mod, although a project of some age, still holds up in terms of musical quality. It furnishes players with the ability to completely revamp the in-game musical selection. What's on offer is a dynamic amalgamation of rock, hip-hop, trance, and dance tracks – a musical spectrum that echoes the variety found on the creator's personal CD shelf. It's worth noting that this mod file seamlessly operates with the NTSC-U version and extends compatibility to both the PAL edition ("Tokyo Highway Challenge 2") as well as the Japanese edition ("Shutokou Battle").
In an extra flourish, an additional element is introduced – an rmx game intro named "SAMPLE.SFD." This serves as an enticing opportunity for players to inject a personalized touch into the game by substituting the existing intro within the game image.
Adding to the appeal, the reviewer informs us of a collaborative endeavor, the brainchild of the creator and Speud from the BlueSwirl website. This joint project invites players to get hands-on and replace the in-game stickers with their very own images, undoubtedly enhancing the game's visual aesthetics.
In conclusion, this modification seems to be a carefully curated package designed to elevate the Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 experience on the SEGA Dreamcast console. With an eclectic range of music, customizable intros, and a creative sticker replacement project, it's an invitation for fans to infuse their personal touch into the game they love.
